A man was praying one day, when God appeared to him. The man asked God to show him heaven and hell, so God agreed. God took the man down a small hallway, and opened a door on the left. When the man looked inside, he saw a large round table with a massive pot of soup in the middle. There were many people around the table, each with a long ladle tied to their arms, so they could easily reach into the large pot. The only downside was, with the long ladles tied to their arms, it was impossible for them to bring the soup back to their mouths. They were all skinny and wrinkled and depressed. God said, "You have seen Hell."
Next, God took him to a door on the right, and when the man looked inside, he saw the same table and the same pot of soup, but the people in this room were well-fed and joyous. They had the same long ladles tied to their arms, which they still would not be able to reach their own mouths with. God explained to the man, "You see, these men have learned to share with one another, and they reach others' mouths instead of their own.":p
